Consent to Receive SMS/Call Communication
Due to recent changes to the 10-digit phone number regulations, we have instituted a toll-free line for EMR-Bear SMS/Call features.
Patient consent to receive SMS communication is documented at the time of intake - the provider handling the client intake will select from the available options shown below to denote the verbally given patient preferences, as well as their consent to transmit HIPAA information.
Patient verbal confirmation should be obtained using the following script: "Do you agree to receive text appointment reminders from BUSINESS_NAME? Message frequency varies. Msg & Data rates may apply. Text STOP to opt out."
